28 Weeks...

Well, this is day 202 and I'm 28 weeks pregnant. I am 72.1% of the way there! We went to the OB last week and I took the blood glucose test. I think that I must have passed because I never heard anything from the lab. The baby is growing more and more and kicking all of the time. It has also started having hiccups, usually a couple of times a day. It has been low still and hurting my stomach a bit, but it's all good. I can't wait for the little baby to get here. It even got a couple of Christmas gifts...blankets and such. I'm growing out of my mid-pregnancy clothes and my t-shirts don't fit any more either! I can no longer see my feet if I stand up straight, shaving is iffy, and I don't really get to paint my toenails either! The nightly leg cramps have started too...but nothing that I didn't experience last pregnancy.

I finally decided on how to decorate the baby's room in the new house. I wanted to keep the walls neutral so we could use the farm stuff if it's a boy or the flower sheets that I picked out online if it's a girl. I wasn't really happy with the tan that matched both, and no other colors could work with them. I started looking for a totally different and gender neutral dust ruffle and sheet that I would like more. Here's what I came up with...I bought two window valances that look just like this dust ruffle. I plan on tying them to the bottom of the crib since you can't buy the ruffle separately. Then I'll just get plain sheets for the crib. I'm having mom and dad paint the room a darker tan and then an accent wall of the dark wine red. We'll also have the red chair that has been in Joey's room. There's also a cute rug and some cute wall hangings that go to this set. I don't want the whole crib set though, since the bumper and the comforter isn't able to be used anyway. We have all of the babies stuff packed up and ready to go to the new house next week. Hopefully the move isn't too stressful and we get things unpacked and organized before the end of February.

I think that's all of the updates for now...

Month #6!

This is day number 170 and you're 24 weeks pregnant! You have 110 days or 15 weeks left, and are 60.7% of the way there.Baby's age since conception is 156 days or 22 weeks. You are due on 3/14/2008

We've made it to month #6! I'm feeling good, baby is moving a lot, and my tummy is getting big. The scrapbook is done and now we're just getting ready for Christmas, hopefully moving to a new house at the end of December, and then getting the nursery set up in time for March. This next month I will be having my glucose screen and then I start the third trimester and will be going in for appointments every 2 weeks! I can't believe how fast time has been flying by!! Baby will be here before we know it.
I've also started a registry at BabiesRUs to keep track of anything that I've thought of that needs replacing from when Joey used it. It's been helpful in making me feel a little bit organized since I really haven't needed to do as much prep. to get ready this time. It's strange not registering, picking out bedding and gear patterns, taking baby classes and stressing about getting all of the little stuff ready. I'm sure I'll have plenty to get ready when we move, but so far I haven't had to do much at all!...except eat=). I still have a couple of months before I have to pack the hospital bags, but we are going to be ready a month early again, cause you never know! We also will be moving Joey into a big-boy bed once we get settled in to the new house. Hopefully that goes smoothly!

I think that's all for now

The Scrapbook is Done!

This is day number 157 and I'm 22 weeks pregnant! I have 123 days or 17 weeks left, and are 56.1% of the way there. Baby's age since conception is 143 days or 20 weeks. (from my baby web site). Anyway, little baby is growing and so is my tummy. I'll put up a new picture after my appointment next week. I can't believe how far along we are already. The baby will be here before we know it! It's a kicker like Joey too=)
I went to the store a week or so ago and looked around at the papers for some color theme ideas for this baby's scrapbook. What I came up with is pretty darn cute! I got the inspiration from a "my pet dog" layout which I later found out was not for sale!!! I still took the color ideas anyway. The book itself is sage green leather. The page colors are mostly navy, golden yellow, paprika red, light blue, and sage. The layouts look a little boy-ish right now, but if the baby is a girl I plan on adding some of the silk-ish flowers that they have for scrapbooks, rhinestones, and maybe even some glitter. It'll be really cute either way. Here are some pictures of my favorite layouts. Of course there is a lot of info. and pictures to be added after the baby is here=).

That's about all for now. I'll update on my appointment later next week.

Well...It's Definately A Baby!!

Hey Everyone,

I'm 20 weeks today. That means 50% of the way through the pregnancy!!!

We had our 20 week appointment and ultrasound yesterady. Everything went well. I'm gaining a little weight, and all the vitals looked good. I also got my flu shot, so I'm feeling a bit yucky today. The baby is about 7 inches and about 1 pound now. Here are some ultrasound images (I think you can enlarge by clicking on them):
The baby has been moving a lot and we can feel/see it from the outside!! It has also been really low and making me a bit uncomfortable, especially when I walk around. It's too early to be hurting mom...baby had better be good the rest of the pregnancy! Here is a belly shot...
This weekend I am going to try to decide on a color scheme for the baby's scrap book and get the materials to start the thing. I've been putting it off, but should try to get it done before the holidays. Afterwards will probably be pretty busy, then baby will be here before we know it!

Last night Andy and I agreed on a boy and girl name=). Sorry folks, it's gonna be a secret until baby gets here!!

That's about all for now

Your First Movements!

Well, the little baby in my belly is 17 weeks old now. The other night, and again this morning, we were able to feel the baby kick...from the outside!!! I don't remember exactly when we felt Joey move for the first time, but this seems earlier. My tummy is getting bigger and bigger and I'm already into full time maternity pants! Here is an interesting comparison...

This is my belly shot from 16 weeks...
This was my tummy at 16 weeks with Joey..This was me at 18 weeks with Joey...
And at 24 weeks with Joey...
I may have as big of a tummy now as I did at 24 weeks last time! They say it gets bigger, faster the second time around...I guess they weren't kidding!
We have our ultrasound at the end of the month. I'll put up pictures and a new tummy shot then!

Monday, October 1, 2007

Hey everyone,
I'm 16 weeks now and doing good. The night sickness is pretty much over and I'm less tired than before. I don't fit into my regular pants any more as you can probably tell by the picture. My belly is growing faster than with Joey...but they say that happens with #2! Our doctor appointment was last week and everything sounds good. The heartbeat was in the 150's. People ask if that's the same as Joey's, but he was high and low depending on the month. I guess we'll just have to wait a few more months to see if we get a sissy or bubby for Joey.

Our next appointment is at the end of this month and we get to have the 20 week ultrasounds done. They'll do the regular type and also the 4-D so we'll see video of the baby and have more 3-D pictures to show you. So stay tuned for that!!!

That's about all for now, it's time to eat again=)

Oh, and I started a mini-registry at Babies-R-Us of all the little things we need replaced from when Joey was born...;) Gearing up for baby #2 just isn't as exciting since you don't get showers and you already have all the baby necessities...

We finally told the family today that we're expecting. Today was grandparents day and we had the G&G's over for dinner. Joey gave them their cards and pictures that he drew. Then dad took him to his room and put a "big brother" T-shirt on that I had made. Joey came out with Grandparents Day balloons, but they noticed the different shirt right away! They were suprised but not shocked like they were with our first one. We called Great Grandpa and all of the brothers and sisters too.
I'm 13 weeks now and here is the latest belly shot:
Now that people know, I can start wearing tighter shirts again! Which means I also need to go shopping!!!

Our 12 Week Appointment

Well, I just got back from my 12 week appointment and it seems that your due date is set for March 14th. I think it's funny because that's a Friday. Joey's due date of June 9th was a Friday, and he was born on Friday the 2nd! Also, you're going to be very lucky because week 14 is on September 14th, and week 19 is October 19th! We got to hear your heartbeat today also. It was in the 160's! That's high end, but still great. Joey even liked hearing it.

We are going to tell the grandparents about you on Sunday, September 9th...Grandparents Day! Grandma and Grandpa DePrisco are taking Great Grandpa back to Florida, so hopefully they come home in time for the suprise!!! We're thinking that we'll have everyone over for dinner here to celebrate with Joey. Then when they get here Joey will have his Big Brother T-Shirt on that I designed. Here are the graphics for it...

(Shirt Back)
So far this pregnancy has felt different from last time. I still have "night sickness" but it's starting to go away. I've had heartburn and stomach pain this time too. (they say heartburn means your baby will have a lot of hair...which could be true since Joey didn't have any!) Things may be differnt since I'm home this time and last pregnancy I was working. Things are good overall and we all can't wait for our new baby in March!!!

Our First Doctor's Appointment

On July 31st. we had our first doctor's appointment. We were excited to see your little heart beat on the ultrasound monitor. Now it's official...you're on the way!!! Doctor Chung said that by your measurements you are 7 weeks 4 days old, not 10 weeks like we had thought. The heartbeat looks good and I'm healthy, so we're right on track. I guess we'll just have to wait 2 weeks longer for your arrival. I forgot to ask what the due date would be. Joey was entertaining the crowd and I was pretty distracted during the appointment. I counted the days and I think that you should be here some time around the middle of March! I can't wait to tell everyone the good news, but we just have to keep it a secret for a couple more months! I've still been pretty nausious during this pregnancay so Dr. Chung recommended a new prenatal vitamin that contains more vitamin B to help with that. She also suggested eating Ginger Snaps since ginger helps with the nausia as well. We'll see what happens!

Here's the first tummy shot. I had pretty much lost all of the belly from baby Joey, and I think that I'm starting to get a little bit of a tummy again. Hopefully no one notices and they just think I have leftover belly from Joey!

That's about it for now!

Shh... It's a Secret!!!

Well, as you all know by now baby#2 is in the oven! On July 3 and 8th I took a test and this is what I saw!!!

Andy was in the field with straw, so I called him with the good news. He was as excited as I was. So far I have been experiencing "all day long" sickness, similar to last time but earlier. I have my first doctor's appointment on the 31st for the 10 week-ish check up. Since I haven't been in yet, we're assuming that I'll be 10 weeks, but that will be confirmed later on. I also think that the due date for baby #2 will be around March 9th. We'll see what Dr. Chung has to say about that.

So far only Danielle knows the good news. I am always paranoid that people are looking at my stomach and will know before I spill the beans in September. We have a wedding this weekend and I know that the dress is a tighter style. Hopefully the relatives won't notice a little bulge! I think that I'm starting to show a little bit already, but hopefully it will be passed off as excess Joey weight!! They say you show sooner after the first baby, so we'll see how long we can hold off on telling everyone! For now it'll be our little secret!
