Pictures with Joey

I'm Getting Cuter!

Hey guys...

This week has been pretty relaxing. We just stayed home a lot and played with toys. I'm really starting to like being in my pack and play with my toys. I've been reaching and grabbing onto my duck toy a lot. It's like a baby rubber duck with colorful rings coming out one side of his body and back in the other. It is really easy to grab and chew on.

I've also been snuggling blankets. Mom doesn't give me my blue crocheted blanket in my crib any more since I can get it up by my face now. I like to snuggle and chew all kinds of blankets. Mom thought maybe I'm starting to get my bottom teeth in. Joey had his bottom two at 21 weeks and I'm 16 weeks. Maybe they are starting to work their way up, but it will probably be a little while before they come in.

I'm losing more hair too. The sides are completely gone. People ask if mom and dad shaved my head, but really they didn't! In the back I also have a ring going around the middle of my head that is missing hair. I kind of have a baby comb-over and the top half of hair usually hides the line so I don't look too funny! Oh well...hair is over rated anyway!!

I have a new game that I like too. Mom gives me pony rides on her knee. The lady and gentleman way of riding is ok, but I like to ride like a cowboy! I crack up and laugh hysterically the more I get bounced! I like getting shaken around too, but you can't shake me too hard!!!

I've also been getting fussier in the evenings again and not wanting to eat as good as I have been. Mom told me that my medicine dosage is creeping down now as I am getting heavier. I'm not getting as strong of a dose as I once was and so my reflux might be starting to act up again. Unless I start going nuts or puking, we're just going to try and get through it without adding more medicine.

This past Friday we took Aunt Amanda out to BWW's for her late birthday dinner. My tummy was hurting when I woke up so they had to leave. I think mom and Amanda got a couple of good drinks in though. Then last night we went to the Mosier's for a cookout. Gary and Connie are old enough to be my grandparents. They have a daughter that is in her early 30's and a son mom and dad's age. Sarah, their daughter, lives in Italy right now and is home with her son for a vacation. Lincoln is 10 months old and really cute. I had a good time watching him and Joey play.

I think that is about all for now. I hope we get to hang out with baby Alex this week. He's silly!

I slept all night!

Hey Everyone,

I've been doing a really good job sleeping at night. I'm usually awake most of the afternoon and evening, and then head to bed around 9:30 or 10:00pm. I sometimes wake up once but then go back in my crib. The other day I even slept from 10 to 6:30 in the morning! Last night I was up twice but didn't wake up for the day until 8:30. Mom was awake, but got to be lazy until then!

I'm also doing the "raspberries" now. I get spit bubbles all over my chin! I'm still cooing and laughing, and I'm even a bit ticklish! Over the weekend dad put me on the baby scale and I'm over 16.5 pounds! I'm 15 weeks right now, and at 4 months Joey was just about 16 pounds. So I'm just a little bit bigger right now. He was this size in October, so I guess that I'll be getting more new clothes!!

Yesterday we got to go to the zoo with Grandma. It was relaxing. I rode in the big stroller without my car seat. The weather was a perfect 75 and I slept most of the time. I was awake to take a ride on the train and I was wide-eyed the whole time. I can't wait until I am a little bit bigger and get to pet animals with Joey and run in the fountains. It looked like he was having a great time.

Here are a couple of other pictures from this past week. I got to swim in the baby pool for a little bit. I was supposed to try Grandma's pool, but it was not a nice day out on Sunday!

Oh No!!!

It's happening more and more...I'm losing my hair!!! Mom has been losing her's too, I hope it's not contageous!! There are hairs on my sheets, on my face and clothes, and they get stuck in mom's nose and in her mouth! The sides of my head are pretty much bald now =(. Mom just thinks that I'm working on developing a mohawk for the summer since she already told dad that he couldn't shave one for me! Here is a picture of my baldness and maybe you can see the hairs on the sheet...

I'm also laughing a lot now. Here is a video. '>.

The other day mom moved my pack-n-play to the living room so I can spend more time with my toys without Joey attacking me. (He still tries to climb on stuff and get in though!). I really like it in there. I was on the floor the other day and mom left the room for a couple of minutes. When she came back I was 90 degrees from the way she left me. Maybe I can figure out how to roll over soon!?

Joey has been playing with me when he can get to me. Here are a couple of pictures of us...

We have been running mom around like crazy. Joey's potty training and peeing on the floor. I often poop all over myself and have been wanting attention too. Hopefully things get under control in that area. Last week I helped mom paint our front door lime green and mulch the front landscaping. I think she's having me help paint the service doors in the garage tomorrow. Oh yay! At least I get to be outside for a while!

Updates...

Well, as most of you know, daddy got his appendix taken out this past week. Mom and I were in the hospital a lot from Tuesday until Saturday night. It was pretty boring, so I got a lot of good naps in! Dad is home now and doing pretty good. He has even tried to hold me a couple of times. I can't wait until he can play again!

We didn't get to go to Friday's for Aunt Amanda's birthday since dad was sick. Maybe we can take her out to dinner sometime soon. I guess since she is 21 now she gets to have special drinks! I wish I could have a "special" bottle!!!

I went to see Dr. Smith again today. He didn't weigh me, but mom put me on the scale here and I'm nearly 15 lbs. I'm gaining weight back and he was happy to see that. I'm going to stay on the Prevacid for 3 more months and then go back to see him. The dosage will be staying the same, but as I grow it will seem like less and less to me. If I'm doing good in 3 months and eating some baby foods, I will probably get to go off of it. I also have a touch of the cold that has been going around. I'm all snuffly and cough every once in a while. I'm happy otherwise, so we're just going to ride that out too!

As for my accomplishments, I am learning to stick out my tongue when mom sticks hers out. I think that it is pretty funny! I have even giggled a couple of times. I've also been sleeping in my crib at night. Last night I slept from 10:00 until 5:00!! Mom was impressed. I also took a 3 hour nap yesterday, so maybe I just needed the sleep! Sometimes I get to sleep in mom's bed in the morning, but other than that I've been in my crib. I take naps all over the place still, but soon I think mom's booting me to my bed. Oh well, it's nice in there.

This week is Grandma D's 50th birthday!!! We got her something cool and I can't wait to give it to her. I think papa is taking her out to dinner and then they are going to be gone on a weekend vacation with friends. I hear she is going "over a hill"...so hopefully we can catch her before she leaves!

Hey everyone,

Sorry it's been a while, but we've been really busy around here. First mom and dad were sick, then Joey got sick. We are all healthy right now. Mom weighed me today and I'm 14lbs 12 oz. which is up from the 13 lbs I weighed mid-May. I'm definitely gaining my weight back now. I've also been waking up only once a night so mom moved me to my crib in my own room. It's working out pretty good. I even get to take some naps in there when Joey isn't trying to nap in his room next door. He sleeps a lot longer than I do! I've been batting at my toys and sometimes I even grab one and put it in my mouth. I have been eating my hand and have the coordination down to get it into my mouth. It tastes really good! I've also just started rubbing my eyes when I get sleepy. I'm starting to get really big!!! Today I even fell asleep outside in my bubble! Mom said that Joey definitely would have never done that!!

Here is a random picture of me in my Baptism outfit. Mom didn't get a good one of me on my Baptism and I wore this for my 3 month pictures. She stole a shot that day. We'll be getting the real pictures back later next week. It was a white cotton shirt and pants that had little blue and tan fishies stitched across the bottom of the shirt and pant legs.

This past weekend was Joey's 2nd Birthday. I hung out outside with everyone and actually did not mind the wind. I even slept in my stroller for a while. Today mom played with Joey a lot, but that's ok since it was his special day.

This week we are going to Fort Wayne for Aunt Amanda's 21st birthday. I've never been to Friday's, but everyone keeps saying they have good drinks. Maybe I'll get a bit of something extra in my milk that night!!!

I think this is all I have for now. I will let you all know next time something cute happens.
