It was a crazy fun weekend!

Hey Guys,

Last week we had a lot going on. On Thursday we went to the splash pad and park in Fort Wayne. I hung out with Grandma while mom and Joey played in the water and on the play equipment. Then mom let me try out the park swing for the first time. I really liked it! It was nice lounging and swinging back and forth in the cool shade. I even smiled a few times when I got pushed!

Then on Friday dad, mom, grandpa, Joey and I drove to Atlanta, IN for Beckonology Days at Beck's Seed. It is their summer field day and I guess they go every year. As usual, I just hung out mostly in my stroller. We ate lunch and spent some time in the kids area while Dad and Grandpa ordered their seed for next year. Joey and I got ID cards made at Peyton's tent. They have our pictures and info on them..even my little finger print! We were tired and fell right asleep on the way home. When Joey woke up he kept making me laugh! He's such a funny brother. In case you can't hear, he burped and I laughed, then he kept saying "burp" and I thought it was hilarious!

On Sunday we went to southern Ohio to Kings Island. We met the Meyers there and spent the day in the hot hot sun! I got to ride around naked! I thought that it was much cooler than with clothes on. After it got toasty out mom took me through Spongebob's Bikini Bottom Splash to get wet and cool down. I didn't cry but I stuck out the lip a couple of times. It did feel good to be cool though. At the end of the day a storm came in. It got really windy and the rain was coming down hard. We were under a roof but we all know that I don't like wind! After we left we spent the night at the Meyers house and I got to spend some more time with Austin. We had fun on the floor, but I accidentally rolled on top of him! Sorry buddy!

Today we were back home and things got back to normal. I spent a lot of time on the floor rolling around and practicing sitting up. I even stayed up on my own for a minute or so. Mom ran to get the camera, but by the time she got back from around the corner I had tipped over. I must have been really tired because I couldn't repeat! Maybe I'll be sitting up soon.

I'm trying to get back into baby food again. Mom had stopped making me try it since I haven't been wanting to eat it. I'm hungry all of the time and she says that this food will make me full for longer. I guess I can try, but I just don't like "mixed veggies"! Mom is also on the hunt for my first sippy cup. She says that as soon as I can hold it, I'll be able to drink by myself!

I also enjoyed my bath for the first time tonight. I sat up without wiggling and trying to get out of the tub. Joey was in the big bath at the time and he gave me one of his bath toys. It was fun grabbing at it and splashing in the water.

I think that is about all I have to tell you right now...I'd better head to bed!

Another Fun Weekend!

Hey Guys,

Like I told you last week, we went to Columbus on Saturday. We left early in the morning and went to the zoo. I got to ride in the new stroller and it worked out pretty good. It was a pretty hot day, so most of the animals were sleeping. I liked watching the fish in the aquarium best. There was also a crazy gorilla, I hear, but I was sleeping in the stroller as usual!

After the zoo we headed over to the Kerestan's for Alex's first birthday party. We swam in the pool and I actually had fun. I got to sit in Alex's float and mom pulled me around. We left their house late and slept the whole way home.

Speaking of sleeping, I have been sleeping from around 9 at night until 6 or 7 in the morning. Mom still has to nurse or bottle feed me to sleep because I can't quite fall asleep on my own. She says that I have to start working on that more.

I am also getting changed on the floor now. I mentioned that mom took the changing table out of my room. The other day mom had changed my diaper and left me on the floor with toys while she put Joey down for a nap. While they were reading stories she heard a thumping...assuming it was Corona. When she came to get me I had rolled onto my tummy and was kicking the closet door! That's two rolls for me and no one has seen them! A sad thing about the new area in my room is that I'm supposed to have my alphabet rug that matches my room to lay on. Mom ruined it when she tried washing it . She washed it more delicately than called for, but it still bleed and frayed that the edges!! Babies R Us said that we can exchange it for another-which is good since I'd like to lay on it and play!

I am still not eating much baby food. Mom offers it to me in my high chair twice a day. Sometimes I'll eat a bite or two, but that is about it. Maybe in a few weeks I will like it more.

I am also starting to walk around in my walker. Just a few steps at a time, but it is fun. I can't wait 'till I can make it move like Joey does!

Yesterday was Grandma Sekel's birthday. We all went to The Back 40 Junction for dinner. I sat all by myself in a restaurant high chair! Mom said that I'm growing up too fast. I really liked it in there and played with my toys until it was time for my bottle. I wish I could have had some of the buffet though!

I think that's about all that has happened lately. Tomorrow we are going to Fort Wayne to play at the splash park, Thursday or Friday Dad is going to Becks for field day and maybe we'll go too, Saturday is Uncle Ed's birthday party, and then on Sunday is Kings Island with the Meyers! Whoa, we're gonna be busy!

Have a good week!

23 Weeks Old!

Hi Guys,

As usual things have been busy this week. I'm still working on my baby foods. Mom put me in my walker to feed me instead of my bouncy seat. This was also when she first let me taste bananas. I don't know which was better, but for some reason I've been chowing down on the bananas. This was the first time I actually opened my mouth for mom to put the food in.
Moxon Eating Bananas @ Yahoo! Video
'>video I still am not a huge fan of the rice cereal or veggies. Mom got me some juice to mix with the cereal, and we're starting on the stage 2 veggies, so maybe they will taste better. This morning I also got to sit in my high chair for the first time. Joey was a little mad at first about me being in his old seat, but he'll get over it. (Actually he's making me laugh in this picture...you'll read more about that in a bit!)Mom said that it is ironic that I was wearing this outfit for my first time in the chair. She has a picture of Joey at pretty much my same age, in the same clothes, during one of his first times sitting in it too!

Mom also took the changing table out of my room this week too. I'm getting really wiggly and the table is old and not real sturdy. She has already let me fall over onto my face a couple of times when we were practicing standing. She says I'm just really wiggly, I say it's her fault! Oh well, I'm still alive and it didn't hurt too bad. Anyway, she doesn't want me falling off of the table, so it's floor changes for me from here on out!

I'm also into my big car seat now. It is just like Joey's but I have to sit facing backward. (I wish i could see his movies! I have become a fan of the big TV in the basement. ) I like the seat overall. It is easier to see out the windows now, and I have a lot more leg room. I don't like it when mom has to get me out during a snooze though!

We've been playing out in the nice weather a lot this week too. We went to Smiley park and I slept the whole time. When we're home Mom sets up some shade for me under Joey's picnic table umbrella and I stand outside in my walker. I'm also starting to walk my walker!! Mom had better get the baby gate for the deck steps and have dad get the one on top of the basement stairs. No huge hurry though. I can just barely move on the kitchen floor and I don't think I'm nearly ready for carpet yet! The walk-around entertainment table is really fun in the basement too. I get to walk around that sometimes and I'm good at it. Mom has been making me be on the floor a lot though so that I can get rolling over down pat. I'm beginning to sit on my own now too. I'm not that good yet, but I'll keep practicing. Joey likes to be on the floor with me and he has figured out how to make funny faces/noises that make me laugh. He thinks it's funny, and I think he's nuts!

Tomorrow we're heading to Columbus for a trip to the zoo in the morning and cousin Alex's birthday party in the afternoon. We have a new stroller to try out, but it's pretty much the same ride for me! Joey gets a new place to sit and ride along though. I hope he doesn't bother me too much...we'll see what happens!

It's nap time now, I'll let you know how this weekend turns out!

I'm 5 Months Old!!!!

Hey everyone!!
I'm 5 months old today!!! (22 weeks now, if you're counting). I am still working on eating my baby foods, even though I still don't really like to open my mouth. I eat about 1 tablespoon every evening for dinner. I am in the middle of tasting beans and then I have peaches and bananas before I've finished them all. I'm getting onto a pretty good daily schedule too. I usually wake up around 5:30 am and sleep with mom until Joey gets up at 7. Then I take a nap around 9:30 for an hour and then we play. I take another nap in the early afternoon while Joey does, and then we play all afternoon. Sometimes I take a short nap before dinner. After my baby food, sometimes I get a bath while Joey does. Then I'm into jammies and then bed by 8 pm. So far this is working, but....
I got the boot from my baby car seat!!! I am over 19 pounds now and mom got tired of carrying me around in the baby seat. Dad installed a seat in the van just like Joey's. It is nice seeing out of it, but now I have to get my naps while I am at home because there is no more sleeping while we shop. Mom let me sit in the shopping cart at the grocery store the other day. I got a few extra blankets since I still flop over when I sit. It was really fun riding in there while we ran around the store. I laughed most of the time!

This week mom even fixed the ball pit. It blew across the pond at Joey's birthday party and got a couple of holes in it. She patched them and so far it is holding air. I sat in it with Joey and it was SO fun! I've heard that a lot of kids like that thing, and now I see why!! I can't wait to go in again. I just hope that Joey never pees in there!!!

Today we had a play date. Austin Meyer and Sophie Kleber came over to play with me and Brady and Emma were here with Joey. We had such a good time. We played in the basement for a while, everyone ate lunch, and then we played out in the back yard. Mom made me some shade with Joey's umbrella and I stood outside in my walker and watched Joey and Brady play in the frog pool. It was a really nice day. After everyone left Joey and I were in the bathroom getting ready for bed. I was laying on the bathroom floor waiting to get changed while Joey was in the tub. Mom went to get my jammies and when she came back I was doing a push-up on my tummy! She missed me roll over, but I DID IT!!! All I heard all day was her telling the mommies that I have been trying to roll, but I'm too fat to get all of the way over...there mom! I was too cranky to do it again after bath time, but maybe tomorrow.

It's been a great day, but I'm heading to bed...

Night,

Hi Everyone.

A lot has happened this past week. It has been sad and happy. Last weekend my Great-Grandma DePrisco died. She was very old and had been in a nursing home recently. I got to know her for a few months and I'm glad that she got to hold me and talk to me a couple of times. Not every kid can say that they have a GREAT-Grandma!!! She is in heaven now and will be my guardian angel I think!

After the sadness of the week I decided that I need to work on getting this rolling over thing down pat. Joey has been doing a lot of tummy time with me. He even wanted me to lay on top of him for a better view. I love my brother! Anyway, I get up onto my side a lot, but haven't gone all of the way over. The other day mom got me on my side and then I went the rest of the way. She says that it doesn't totally count since she did half for me. I'm still going to keep working. (have you noticed my "evil" look in some of these pictures? Mom is in trouble!)

I'm still working on eating my baby foods. Mom has stopped making me eat that rice cereal, and she tried Oatmeal. I don't really like that either so she has just been giving me straight baby food. I still don't eat a whole lot of it all of the time, but at least it is better plain! I have tried applesauce, sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, peas, and pears. Mom gave me peas and pears yesterday for dinner. I ate the peas good so I got dessert! She said that it's our secret that she tried two new foods in one day, but I don't think that I'm going to have any allergies...no one else does! So anyway, that's where I am with those. I still have to try beans and then a few other fruits. After we finish those I get to start Stage 2 foods. Joey told me that Stage 2 has a lot more options to try...I can't wait!

I'm also turning into quite the thumb sucker. I'm still drooling and gnawing on my fingers to get that tooth in. Today I even tried to nurse and suck my thumb at the same time!!! I guess mom thought that was pretty funny!

I think that is about all of the news for now. We have a really exciting month of fun stuff coming up, so you'll have to keep checking back!

Love,

Moxon
