I'm One!!!

Hey Everyone!
I turned 1 over the weekend and I'm such a big boy now! On Saturday we had my birthday party at our house. All of my aunts and uncles, grandparents, and friends came. There were 8 boys at my party too. Mom decorated in "bee" theme. She made me a beehive cake, my #1 cake, and a mini cake just for me. There were streamers and balloons around and bees on the walls. Mom made wings and antenna hats for all of the kids. Austin kept his on the longest! What a party animal! The older kids did a bee craft and we all took turns trying to break the beehive pinata! The older boys ended up stomping on it after several whacks. Joey even took his circular saw it! I think everyone had fun. I got a bunch of clothes, some books, and a couple small toys. G&G DePrisco even got me a roller coaster! The big boys have been hogging it, but I've gotten a few turns lately. I love that thing! (Uncle Chris took more pictures than mom...she'll put more up later on)

The Meyers stayed the rest of the weekend. I even sat at the picnic table with them a couple of times to eat! At the party I ate 3 pieces of pizza and my yogurt. The next day I pigged down a bunch of food also. Maybe I am growing!

Since I'm 1 now, dad turned my seat around in the van. What fun!!! I can see the movies and talk to mom and dad while they're driving. I think dad is even going to move Joey back to the middle seat so that we can sit together again.

Nothing else exciting has happened since I've been 1. We are going to start a family blog soon, so check back for the new address!

Hi everybody!

Tomorrow is the last day before I turn 1! I think that I'm getting pretty excited! We've had a busy week around here. Mom got the kitchen painted, we got a new counter top, and a hot tub got delivered today. I can't wait to get in. It's still warming up though.

Earlier this week I got a new kind of sippy. It has a straw and I love it. It is so much easier to drink out of than that baby sippy. Mom even said she might get more since Joey and I like them so much. One cup for each of us makes a lot of cup washing!

I also got my birthday present from mom and dad early too. Mom took Joey and I to "It's Playtime" in Fort Wayne last Saturday. They had a tube to crawl through and I had a lot of fun with it. Mom had bought me one for my birthday and couldn't wait to give it to me. She got it out as soon as we got back home. She told dad that this way I could really enjoy it before the "overload" on my real birthday.

I have been having a hard time sleeping at night again. I woke up wide awake at 5 am the other day and didn't want to go back to bed. Mom caught some zzz's on the living room floor while I played toys in the darkness. Then yesterday I got up at 4:30 but somehow fell back to sleep. I didn't nap so much today so maybe I can sleep all night again.

Oh, I almost forgot. My other 2 bottom teeth finally poked through! I have 8 now and am ready to eat some more foods. Speaking of....today in all of the kitchen chaos, I decided that I was hungry. Joey always gets snacks out of the pantry so I figured that I would give it a whirl. All I could reach was the bread, but I like bread. Joey tattled on me and mom caught us with all of the slices on the floor. I had two fist fulls of bread and was munching away! I got to keep what I was holding but the rest got cleaned up.

I have been causing a lot of trouble lately. Joey and I play "cooking" with mom's pans. They all end up on the floor. One day I found the box of cereal that Joey had left out. I decided to help myself! I also found the baggie/wrap drawer. One day I emptied all of the zip-loc boxes, unrolled every plastic baggie and even rolled out the foil and saran. You'd think that mom was neglecting me if I had so much time to accomplish this. Well, really I work fast and had the drawer apart in about 1 minute! Mom knew I was messing in there but since she was turned away she didn't know exactly what I was planning!

One more silly thing. One of the songs that Joey likes to dance to is "We Will Rock You". He always does "stomp, stomp, clap" with mom. Today when the song came on I started stomping my foot too. Mom grabbed the camera and snuck a video!

I think that's about all of the updates for now.

See you at the party!
