Hi Everyone, Not a whole lot of exciting things have happened this week. I am still taking my Prevacid and it has really been helping. I haven't puked at all since I started it. I'm still cranky at night, but that may be from other things. Mom and dad were both sick this week, so we've just stayed home for the most part. Joey and I got to work on some tummy time (again!). He always likes to play with me, but sometimes he is rough. I even got sat on the other day and he wanted to ride me! At least I didn't get hurt before mom got him off! Crazy kid!! As you can see from the pictures, I think he really likes me as his brother!
Mom gave me a mohawk the other day. I'm balding on the top sides of my head from nursing and rubbing my head on mom's arm. It's naturally creating a mohawk shape. Mom decided to help it out with a little bit of baby oil. I thought it was pretty silly, but I felt like such a big boy!
We have a wedding to go to this weekend and a baby shower too. It's going to be really busy but I can't wait to meet a bunch of new people and show them my cuteness!

Love,
Moxon

Quick Update!

Hey everyone,

I'm cranky tonight so I'm gonna make this quick.

Today mom and I went shopping for Joey's birthday presents...you'll have to wait and see what we got him! Then later this afternoon we went to Dr. Barb's office for my 2 month well-baby check up. I weigh 13 lbs 1.5 oz (90%), I am 25 inches long already! (95%) and my head is 15.25" around. That's only 25% so I guess I have a small head like Joey! The doctor isn't worried that I lost a little more weight because overall I am still so big. I should start gaining some back now that I'm eating a little better. I got shots too and don't feel so good, so I'm going to go cuddle with mom...

Not Funny Mom....

Hey everyone,

Today when we got home from Wal-Mart mom was feeding me a bottle with rice cereal in it. She could tell that I was filling my britches, but little did she know...it was coming out the top of my diaper! My back was all poopy and so were her pants! This earned me a bath in the middle of the day. The only problem was that Joey wanted to help. Mom had my baby tub in the spa tub and Joey was in the big tub too. He wanted to pour water on me and got it in my eyes, and then he wanted to help wash me too. He even tried to throw duckies at me!!! It was a little stressful, but I didn't cry. Hopefully mom won't let that happen again!!! Then after the bath she made me wear this outfit. Sure it's cute, but not very funny!
I've been feeling a lot better lately. The new medicine seems to be helping, but it isn't very fun having two tablespoons of a thick jelly-like liquid shot into your mouth every day! It doesn't taste too bad and I do a pretty good job getting it all down. I've been eating a lot, but don't like the formula that the doctor wants me to eat. Mom has been starting to put rice into bottles instead so that I will at least get the extra calories even if it isn't thicker than regular milk. I also like my baby swing now. I think it is very soothing. Sometimes it even calms me down when mom can't!!!
I've been smiling a lot and talking too. I am very close to laughing also. Right now I get a high squeal out when I smile. Here is a video of me talking to mom the other day. We were on our way to run errands...
Joey has been having floor time with me a couple of times a day. Sometimes he just sits by me, but other times he brings his blanket out and lays on the floor with me. We have a lot of fun playing with my baby toys. He will press buttons on the ones that I can't work yet and he shows me the ones that aren't in my view. This is just a cute picture of me in one of mom's favorite sleepers. She thinks the hat is adorable, but I don't like hats too much. I left it on for the picture but then it had to come off!
That's about all for now. I'm going to see Dr. Barb tomorrow for my 2 month check up, shots, and to update him on how I am feeling. Hopefully I've gained some weight back. We'll see what happens though.

Update...

Hey everyone,

Today I had my appointment with Dr. Smith about my AR. He thinks that I am going to live!!!He said that he reviewed my barium screen and I definitely have reflux, but he isn't worried about my slow caterpillar intestines. He said that it is pretty normal, really. He switched me from my Zantac to Prevacid and also wants me to take 1 or 2 bottles of Enfamil AR daily. This formula is fortified with rice for babies with reflux and will help beef up my diet so that I gain weight. I tried some tonight and didn't really like it. I was very sleepy though, so we'll try again tomorrow I guess. I have my 2 month appointment with Dr. Barb on Friday. You'd think that with as much as I've been in the office lately I wouldn't have to go again, but I do! I will need to update him on my reflux and I think he is giving me shots too! Ouch!

Today we also went to Meijer with Joey and Grandma D. to pick out flowers for our house. Tonight after Joey went to bed I helped mom get them into pots. They smell good!

I just wanted to let you all know how I am doing.

Baptism

Hey Everyone,
I am 9 weeks old now and doing pretty good. I've been feeling a little bit better and eating a little better also. I think my new medicine is starting to work. I've also been spitting up less, except for this morning I puked up a bunch of yellow stuff again. We'll see what the specialist has to say tomorrow.

Yesterday was my Baptism. We had all of the DePrisco and Sekel relatives there. I even got to meet my Great- Grandma Deprisco. ( I think she liked me!) This is a picture of me sleeping before the ceremony... These are my Godparents, Annie and Chris.
This is a picture of me with Great-Grandma.

After church we came back to our house for lunch and gifts. I got a silver baptism coin from Chris, a cross in an engraved box from Annie, a "Pajama Bible" from Amanda, a lamb and shadow box from G&G DePrisco, money from G&G Sekel, and some more from Sarah and Greg and Ed and Melanie! Ed and Melanie also got me a bath towel and a sign for my crib that says "party in my crib BYOB"! Great Grandma and Linda also got me a cross. I made out pretty good!

A Crazy Week...

Hey Everyone,

This has been a very crazy week for me. On Monday we went to the Columbus Zoo with baby Alex, cousin Jen, and Great-Aunt Toni. I was still not feeling too good so I slept pretty much through the whole thing. Then we went to El Vaquero's for Cinco de Mayo and I slept there too. Ask Joey if you want to know what happened.

Then on Tuesday we got to play outside. I slept in my stroller while Joey played on the deck. When we came inside I puked up a bunch of bright yellow liquid. Mom called the doctor since I've been spitting up and not eating well since my congestion. He said that I should come in on Thursday if things didn't get better...and on Wednesday if I puked yellow again. I was so tired that I even fell asleep during Tummy Time on Tuesday night.

On Wednesday morning, sure enough, I puked up yellow liquid. Mom took me to see Dr. Sarrazine since my doctor doesn't work on Wednesdays. He said that it sounded like I have reflux and he wanted me to go get a "Barium Swallow Radiograph (x-ray)" to make sure that it was the problem, and not something worse. Normally they wouldn't do this right away, but I had lost half a pound since I was in on the first of May. Mom took me to the hospital and I had to lay on a table with a big machine above me while a nurse tried to make me drink Barium water from a bottle. The barium shows up on the x-ray and they can watch me drink and digest it. Mom said my guts looked pretty cute on the screen! Sure enough, and soon as I started drinking it they could see it coming back into my esophagus. The problem with reflux is that the muscle at the top of my tummy isn't closing back up all of the way and my stomach juice is coming out. (and sometimes out of my mouth!). They said that this is pretty common and should go away once I start sitting on my own and eating solid food. They gave me some medicine to neutralize my acid and hopefully make it less painful for me to eat. (I'm still only eating small amounts and usually I start crying when I get some down). I also have to go see a pediatric surgeon on Tuesday who is more knowledgeable in these types of x-rays. He may have a better medicine or advise for mommy and me. I used to eat so good and now it's just no fun!

On Thursday we went to Dayton to visit the Meyers for Brady's 2nd birthday. He had an Elmo party and there were lots of little boys there, and one girl! I got to meet baby Austin. I am 5 weeks older than him...My tummy wasn't feeling too good and so Joey got to have most of the fun. This week I had my first road trips and I did pretty good on both of them!

Tomorrow is Baptism. Hopefully I will feel ok, but I should since I usually do pretty good in the mornings. I'll post pictures from the day later on next week.

Feeling Better...

Hey Everyone...

I'm 8 weeks old now and have been feeling a lot better. Mom has been putting the drops up my nose when I get really stuffy and that does the trick. I've been sleeping a lot and eating little bits, but other than that I'm doing much better now. Last night I slept in my pack and play from around 10 to 4:30 this morning. Mom said that's enough hours to qualify as "sleeping through the night!". I think that's supposed to be another milestone! The other night mom put towels under my mattress in the bed so that I can sleep on an incline. I really like that, even though i slide down and usually wake up 90 degrees different from how I fell asleep. Oh well, whatever helps me get better!
After I woke up this morning mom let me sleep in her spot. Here are some pictures of me and Dad on our lazy Sunday morning...
I'm also staying awake more in the afternoons and giving mom and dad lots of smiles. Here is another picture of my cuteness...
Tomorrow we have a trip to the Columbus Zoo planned with Aunt Toni, Cousin Jen and baby Alex. I hope that we end up going. Great Grandma Deprisco got taken to the hospital yesterday because they thought she had a stroke. It turns out that she's doing ok and it may have been low sugar levels. We'll have to see how she is doing and if Grandma Deprisco gets to go to the zoo with us too. Fingers crossed for everyone!!
That's about all of the news for now. Daddy is on his way to Fort Wayne in search of a backyard fence for us. He claims he'll have it up before my baptism next weekend...mom has her doubts. So, we'll see what happens. It sure would be nice to go outside with my brother more...
