I'm An Animal!!

Hey Everyone!

I've got a new *trick*...When I get really excited I either make high pitched squeaks like a dolphin, or I make this noise..

Mom and Joey both think that it is pretty funny!

I still don't have teeth, but an doing a little bit better with my baby food. I saw Dr. Smith this past week and he is impressed with my weight gain over the past three months. Did you realize that I went from 13 pounds in May to 21 pounds in September!! I'm a fast grower! Anyway, Dr. Smith thinks that I should be about ready to come off of my prevacid. I'm supposed to finish the last few days that I have and then see what happens without it. (Some days I spit most of it out anyway!). We have to go back and see him on Halloween after I have been off of the medicine for a couple of weeks. Good luck to my tummy!

Here is a picture of me trying on my prune flavored lipstick!

Here is a picture of my leg fat just to prove how much weight I have gained...

I'm good at using my walker. Last time I showed you pictures of how I try to open the kitchen cabinets. If mom has the kitchen TV stand turned toward the living room I usually like to try at get the TV cables too. I'm gonna be trouble!

I also have this walker table...sometimes I just run in circles when I'm bored..

My 6 Month Appointment!

Hi Guys,

I saw Dr. Barb this week and I'm healthy as a horse! (or piggy) I weighed in at 21 lb -4.5 oz (95%), 28.5 in long (95%) and my head is right on 18 inches around (95%). Dr. Barb said that I am definitely getting enough calories from milk alone and the fact that I don't like baby food isn't an issue at this point! I got two shots and a drink also. The other shot that I was supposed to get had gone bad over the weekend when the power to the office fridge had gone out. I will get that one later this fall when Joey and I go in for our flu shots. I have been feeling pretty yucky since my appointment though. I have been stuffed up and not sleeping too good. It could be a side effect from my shots, but mom thinks that it's just sinus related since dad and grandma have both been feeling really yucky lately too.

This week Bruce has been going to town on our yard. The whole thing is dirt at this point and there have been a lot of big loud machines around here. I am a little scared of them and would rather just keep my distance. You'll have to check Joey's blog if you want to read all about it. He would watch diggers all day if he could!

This week I am getting to be a pro at my walker. I cruise all around the kitchen and have even been trying to get the cabinets to open up. I can pull on the handles, but my walker gets in the way of opening them. Mom said something about baby locks!? I don't know what those are, but hopefully they are for the cabinets and not for me!

I am also starting to practice using my sippy cup. I don't have the hang of it yet, but Joey seems to think that I should start to use one. We'll see. It is pretty neat to look at!

Oh, one more thing! My Halloween costume got here today=) Mom seems really excited and said that it's better than she hoped it would be! (something about shopping online and quality?) Joey and I are dressing as a pair this year. What we're going to be is a secret until Halloween though! I am going to be having my October pictures taken in it, and Mom is making Joey's costume, so we had to pick mine out early. I am cranky right now and need a nap, but I will probably try it on as soon as I wake up.

That is about all of the news in my world...

Have a good weekend

I'm 6 Months Old Now!

Hey guys,

Well, after reviewing my last post I have a couple of updates. I am sitting up totally independently now. I can reach for my toys and not fall over. I'd rather sit than lay down on my tummy or back. The only bad part is when Joey comes and pushes me over because he thinks I want tummy time!
I'm still not digging the baby food. On a good meal I will eat around 1.5 tablespoons of food, which is good, but that doesn't happen all of the time. I have also been waking up about every two hours for the past few nights. Mom has tried Tylenol since my teeth might be coming in, but that doesn't seem to help. I can usually get mom to cave in and let me sleep with her after I've woken her up a couple of times. Hopefully this stages passes soon, I want to get a good night's sleep too!! I have been taking good naps though, usually 3 a day for about an hour each time. I think Joey likes playing with mom while I sleep too!
I also said that I probably weigh around 19.5 lbs now...well, Mom weighed me at home last week and I'm just slightly over 21 lbs!! Holy chunky monkey!!! I'm a big boy=). I have my appointment with Dr. Barb on Monday, we'll see what I weigh there.

Here is some proof of my fatness...The other day I was sitting on the floor without my shirt on. From the front my belt line is sucked an inch or two back into my belly fat. As you can see from the rear view, my pants are where they belong!

I have also started "talking" a lot. My brother, Joey, likes to tell mom what I am trying to say. Unfortunately he is really goofy and usually has no clue what I am really trying to tell them! The other day he told mom that I was talking about Rachael Ray and that I am too little to watch that show! I really only like milk, so why would I care about a cooking show!? Crazy boy. I think that he's the one with a crush on her. He thinks every time there is cooking on TV we are going to be seeing her!!!
The other day we went to the park again. The weather has been really cool and perfect for playing outside. I got to swing some more. Joey even sat beside me on the big red swing. I love to ride and usually laugh for most of the time. I hope that we can get a swing set as soon as we get our yard back together. It would be nice to swing while Joey runs around the back yard.
Today Bruce is here with his diggers to fix the dirt in our yard, daddy is bringing his backhoe to do some drainage work on the ponds, and Justin is hauling in big rocks for some areas around the banks. I guess that the yard project is suddenly under-way!
I'll keep you updated on things around here!!
Love,

Hey Everybody!

I'm 25 weeks old now, can you believe it! On the 7th I'll be 6 months old already. I'm sitting in my high chair every day working on the baby food thing. I still don't like it very much. If I ate more I might be able to sleep longer at night. Mom is also giving me bottles before bed at night. Sometimes I don't want the bottle and so she tricks me into taking it when I've almost nursed myself to sleep. I'm not always sleeping through the night. Sometimes I wake up around 12 or 1 for a snack. My teeth and tummy have been bothering me too, so that doesn't help either.

Speaking of my tummy, I have an appointment with the specialist at the end of the month to possibly get off of my medicine. I also have an appointment with Dr. Barb for my check up and shots. Mom thinks I weigh around 19.5 lbs right now, but we'll see what happens at the office.

I have also been working on my rolling over. I get onto my tummy pretty easily, but haven't figured out how to flip back over. My latest trick is sitting up on my own. I can sit for a couple of minutes without any support. When mom puts this pillow around me, it is just enough to keep me up. The view is great up here and I can play with my toys better too.
This is a picture of me relaxing after a "sitting session". I'm a cute one!
I am also liking my bath better. I've starting lounging, kicking my legs, and splashing water all over mom. She usually covers up with a towel so that I don't soak her. Now I just need a few bath toys and I'll be set!
I'm interested in my doggy now too. She is always sniffing around where I am playing. She's pretty funny looking, but Joey seems to have fun with her. Maybe we can play together soon too!

Today we went to Great Aunt Linda's new house for a tour and a picnic outside. Mom set my blanket in some soft green grass and I got to relax and look at the blowing trees. It was so nice. I don't think we have grass like that at our house! I even flipped over and gave it a feel. It was pretty silly feeling, but I liked it. Joey threw some grass all over me and mom made us stop playing!

Then Grandma fed me my bottle and I started holding it all by myself! Mom said that pretty soon she will let me try out my new sippy cup!
I think that is about all that has happened this week. Dad and Justin (one of his farm workers) sprayed our yard to kill all of the grass and weeds. I guess we are getting all new grass in a couple of weeks. Maybe it will be soft and I can play in it next summer. I'll let you know how the project comes along!
