This past weekend I had a pretty interesting episode of Braxton Hicks contractions, (I think). I didn't have any with Joey, but I'm pretty sure that's all that was going on. The baby felt really low and was putting pressure on my back. A lot of fluids and rest made things all better by Sunday morning. Later Andy told me that he was thinking to himself that we'd be making a trip to the hospital that night=). False alarm! For now, the baby will keep cooking! I've been taking it easy all week and resting since I'm a little sick and Joey's been really sick. We just cuddle and relax most of the day. This has also been helping with the ligament pains. I think we just about have everything ready for the baby to come, and the hospital bags are packed. Now we just need to get the car seat in the van and wait...
Today I had another OB appointment. The baby sounds good and is "head-down"! Dr. Chung says that the pains this weekend sound like Braxton Hicks to her too. She also said that my platelet count from last week was 134 (thousand I think) and 135 is what they consider to be the lowest level of "normal". I'm just out of that range. I got another blood test today to see what they are this week. She said that I shouldn't have any problems with these numbers, but if they go too low I probably won't be able to have an epidural and they would need to know if case of bleeding complications in labor. For now, we're fine though. She is having me come back every week now until the baby is born. If the platelets are low again from this week, I'll have another blood test next week again to keep track of them. Other than that it'll be a routine appointment as usual! Only a few weeks of this left!!!
That's about all of the baby news for now...we'll keep you updated!

(Oh, and we plan on taking the laptop with us to the hospital to download new baby pics, so you'll be able to see the little one as soon as possible!!!)
